Established in 1988, this group of women meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month from September to June. Interesting programs have included speakers, tours of community facilities and special dinners. The fundraising that is done through catering to small functions in the church and monthly offerings is used to support projects in the church and community. This group is open to any women in the church.
The first Sunday of the month from September through May, brunch is cooked and served in the auditorium following worship service. Between 100 - 150 people usually stay. This “experiment” started 10 years ago as a fellowship booster, but has also made a significant financial contribution over the years to the life of Knox.
On Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. at Smitty’s in the Shopper’s Mall, a large number of women gather to eat, drink and discuss just about any subject you can imagine! Participants often learn something new, laugh at jokes, discuss a book or movie and catch up on the family lives of all who attend. Rides can be arranged, if needed.
For the last 15+ years, two large rummage/garage sales have been held each year. Many volunteers participate in collecting, setting up, pricing, packing and selling items. This is a fun social occasion as well as a great fundraiser in support of church projects.
